Having spent the better part of the last ten years administering numerous competitions, I passionately hate the way that the draw is published for the Australian Men's Masters Hockey Championships.

As a result, I have taken the time to upload the fixtures for the Over 40 B Division, as that's the division that I am involved in for 2018. In addition, I have uploaded the players for that team. During the championships, I will upload the match cards thereby giving my team full statistics that will match or surpass those provided on the Hockey Australia portal.

You will see there is now a Competition menu. If you click on that, you will be taken to a detailed statistics page that will get updated whenever a match card is uploaded. Alternatively, hold your mouse over the Competition menu and select one of the submenu options that appear. These include: -

• Ladder - A detailed points table for the Over 40 B Division
• Fixtures - A full fixtures list for the Over 40 B Division
• Players - A player roster for the NSW Over 40/2's (The Waratahs)

Wherever you see an item displayed in blue, like a team name or player name, if you click on it, you will be taken to the appropriate section. For example, if you are looking at the fixtures list, and click on the name New South Wales 2's, the fixtures list will be filtered to only show the fixtures for the Waratahs.

If you click on the little note icon at the right-hand end of each fixture, you will be taken to a Match Preview (Uncompleted) or Match Report (Completed), depending on the status of the match.

If you click on a player name on the Player Roster, you will be taken to their individual player statistics, that will include matches played, goals scored and cards earned.

Hopefully, this will make things easier for friends and family to keep up with our progress. Simply point them to https://myturf.com.au and tell them to explore the Competition menu at the top of the page.
