Ballina and Lismore

Ballina and Lismore

In 2018, the Australian Men's Masters Hockey Championships are split across two locations - Ballina and Lismore.

Located in the Far North Coast of NSW, these two towns will host a championships that will offer something completely different to that on offer when the championships are in a major city. With a small town feel and local exuberance, everyone will be made to feel welcome.

LismoreOnly 90 minutes drive from the Gold Coast, the region is the gateway to Queensland. But why leave the state when you can enjoy everything New South Wales has to offer. After all, Ballina is the home of The Big Prawn, a 30 minute drive to Byron Bay and Nimbin, and some spectacular National Parks will be at your doorstep.

As well as boasting some excellent dining options, Lismore is known as one of Australia's largest coffee growing regions. It will afford everyone the opportunity to explore different tastes with their morning pick-me-up, before enjoying more adult beverages in the evening.

For those of you after more active pursuits, the proximity to some fabulous beaches means activities like Deep Sea Fishing, Surfing, Snorkeling, Diving and Kayaking are readily available.

Balina-AerialFor those of you with families, a quick trip 90 minutes north will have the theme parks available to you. I'm sure the kids, both young and old will love a trip to Movie World, Sea World and Wet 'n Wild.
